It’s not every day you find yourself in the company of the 2013 Wimbledon and 2012 Olympic Games Men’s Tennis Champion but that’s exactly what happened to over 400 lucky Standard Life colleagues who were given the opportunity to meet the man behind the racquet, hear him speak and share his journey and aspirations for the future.
This was to be no standard meet and greet, no stage and no presentation; it was to be an immersive, fun experience. A memorable event showcasing Standard Life’s support for Andy, highlighting how he shares their values and way forward.
We transformed the canteen at Standard Life House into ‘centre court’, with simulated grass laid to host a tennis table competition. The ‘outer courts’ hosted colleagues battling through knockout rounds to secure a place to play Andy in the final on ‘centre court’.
Cameras were strategically placed to film and relay all on court action, to make sure everyone had a good view of the hits and misses.
Following Andy’s win (of course!) on centre court he spent time with Standard Life colleagues answering questions as they got to know him more.
A finalist, Kirsty added: "The energy in the restaurant today was great, what a fantastic thing to do. It was very well organised, great fun, and I'd absolutely do it again."
We are proud to say that by working with the team at Standard Life our efforts and vision for this meet and greet were a winning combination.
