Having successfully produced the CIPD Scotland event in 2014, we were asked back again to deliver this years two day event.
The event took place at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow, where we provided equipment, sets, and technical support, as well as signage design and printing, not only for the two-day conference but for the exhibition as well. Flagging the main auditorium we also supported a smaller auditorium and two breakout rooms, which hosted speakers and panel sessions. The impressive speaker line-up included Dame Carol Black, Vance Kearney from Oracle and Neil Morrison from Penguin Random House, with a powerful closing keynote by Martine Wright. The highlight was in the main auditorium, where the set we erected contained three screens; two large rear projection screens for presentation material and a central screen which displayed a bespoke designed live twitter interface, delivered by one of our own innovations Smoke Signal. We even enhanced the technology with a new monitoring system, allowing us to screen any tweets before they were posted.
On the Thursday evening the Grand Ballroom was transformed to host a sophisticated dinner for over a hundred guests, with a focus to raise money for MS Scotland. The evening was a triumph, with over £ 6,000 raised! It was great to work with CIPD Scotland, fingers crossed to be asked to produce their event again next year!
